Ohio Concealed Carry Classes – CCW/CHL – Course Fee: $150.00
- PLEASE NOTE: Registration for training classes are non-refundable and can only be rescheduled if notice is given at least 48 hours in advance of scheduled training.
- If you plan on carrying concealed without a license you can still take this class. You would have three (3) years to apply for your Concealed Carry License if you change your mind.

Columbus CCW Training Class – Information:
Senate Bill 215 has been signed into law and will legalize carrying a concealed handgun without a license in Ohio beginning on June 13, 2022.
Important Things To Consider:
- If you travel out of state, you are not able to carry concealed in a reciprocal state unless you have an Ohio Concealed Carry License. The only exception is if you’re traveling to a state that allows non-residents to carry concealed without a license.
- A Concealed Carry License requires taking this 8-hour Concealed Carry Class and applying for the license within three (3) years of taking the class.
- An Ohio Concealed Carry License allows you to purchase a firearm without running a NICS check to speed up the firearm purchasing process.
- A background check is run when you apply for a Concealed Carry License. That background check covers the requirement to purchase a firearm in Ohio, so you can use your Ohio CCW License in place of the NICS check when purchasing a firearm.
- Training is so important! If you plan to carry concealed but are not familiar with firearms, we strongly recommend taking the Concealed Carry Class. The class incorporates the Ohio Concealed Carry Laws with Gun Safety, Handling, and Range Time.
- You can take any Concealed Carry Class and still carry concealed without a license in Ohio after June 13, 2022.
- Strongly consider our Defensive Handgun Series if you plan to Carry Concealed with or without a license.
- Our Defensive Series consists of five (5) classes that incorporates in front of the firing line, muscle memory, and real-world scenario training.

- Required Identification for the Course: Please bring a Valid Government Issued Photo ID to the course. We do not accept Passports or Visas.
- Lunch: Please pack a lunch or snack to be enjoyed during the class. There will be a short break for lunch.
- Firearms: The course fee includes firearm rental.
- However, if you own a firearm, feel free to bring it to the class.
- Make sure your ammunition is separate from the handgun during transport.

- Ammunition: You will have an opportunity to purchase ammunition before the shooting portion, or bring your own.
- 100 rounds of ammunition. No steel core or steel cased ammunition on the range.
- You’re responsible for obtaining ammunition for this class.
- No ammunition in the classroom, if you bring ammunition, please leave it in your car till the range portion of the class.
- Ear & Eye Protection*: Included, or bring your own. *During COVID-19 ear and eye protection is not included due to health concerns. You may purchase ear & eye protection from AimHi before the range portion of the class or bring your own.

- Age: The Ohio Concealed Carry Certificate you receive upon successfully completing the course is valid for 3 years. So, if you’re between the ages of 18-21 you may take the class and apply for your license once you turn 21.

Many people don’t realize that an NRA Instructor is someone who has simply completed a two-day instructor certification course and likely has no practical experience. While some NRA Instructors have relevant experience on top of the NRA certification, they are few and far between.
